Shade: Northern Grizzlies MC (Book 7) Page 2
Shade
The next morning, I wake to her soft hand massaging my cock, my pre-cum is already leaking out and she’s looking at me with a smile on her lips.
Pulling her closer to my side, I stretch and arch my groin in towards her body. Reaching past her to the nightstand, I grab another condom from the stash I left in the drawer and suit up.
“Come on up here, Rosy,” I roll her on top of me. “You do all the work today.”
Lying back with our fingers intertwined, she slowly works herself down my dick. I close my eyes and arch up into her, feeling how swollen she is after the pounding I gave her last night. I lazily watch her, my eyelids are still half-closed and I’m torn between focusing on her tits bouncing above me or lower down, where our bodies are joined together.
Growling, I sit up. Pulling her arms behind her back to secure her in place so I can feast on her rosy nipples again. “Don’t move. Just squeeze yourself around my dick, Jessa. That tight cunt feels like a vise around me. Bet you can make me cum just like that.”
She clenches her pussy around my dick over and over, eventually making a mewling sound as she tries to ride me again.
“Let me move, Shade! You have to let me…” Pushing her back, I raise her legs up to my shoulders and start thrusting into her harder and harder, desperate to make us cum together.
“Yes, oh God!” She keeps repeating. Her eyes are open wide as she stares up at me, silently pleading for more. I reach down to rub her clit, knowing I’m close and wanting her to join me. This woman won’t soon forget that a man can make her cum during sex.
The sight of her reaching up to pinch her hardened nipples is too much for me and I lose it. Shooting deep into her, I frantically continue rubbing her clit until she joins me. Goddamn it! Each time just gets better.
That thought freaks me out as I flush my condom and take a piss. It’s the insecure look on her face that has the next words popping out of my mouth, “Wanna get breakfast?”
“Ummm, I guess,” she smiles shyly at me again and I feel a warmth in my chest. “I think I saw a diner across the way?”
“Get dressed, we’ll leave the bags and come back here afterwards. Got a few hours left on the room.” She nods in quick agreement to my plan and grabs some things from her bag, moving past me into the bathroom. The little screech she lets out when I smack her ass has me grinning even wider.
Heading outside, I walk towards my Hog, stopping when I hear her laugh. “It’s just right across the road,” she points.
“I don’t walk. I ride.”
“This is weird,” she says, getting on and snuggling into me.
The diner is pretty quiet and I guide her towards a booth in the back, quickly signaling for coffee. After we place our orders she looks up at me, “Is Shade your, what is it called, your MC name?” she asks, looking at my cut.
“Road name. No.”
“What’s it short for?”
“It’s short for: I’m a shade too dark to have been born to the man who was married to my mother.” Her lips form a perfect O as she takes that in. “My mother was a bored housewife, her two daughters started school and she apparently started fucking multiple men who worked or lived in their subdivision. Her husband took one look at the son he was hoping for and, well, they are both very Nordic looking and I’m probably part Hispanic.
“He got pretty pissed and stopped long enough to fill out my birth certificate. Gave me her maiden name and named me Shade without telling anyone before he headed to a divorce attorney. He got custody of his daughters and when the dust settled mom wanted to find a new husband, so her father took me in. At his age, he was none too pleased about that. Even more pissed off when he had to dig through records to find a copy of my birth certificate to register me for school.
“He’d thought my name was Daniel, Danny, like his. The fucking school didn’t accept nicknames back then so the teachers and kids all called me Shade.” I finish my answer as the food comes and I concentrate on that instead of my verbal diarrhea.
“What a prick,” she finally says before digging into her breakfast.
I shrug and watch her, wondering about her story but not wanting to open the can of worms that’d probably come with asking.
“I just got my Associate’s degree and want to save up to get a Bachelor’s one day, when I have a better idea of what I want to do.” Looking back up at me, she asks, “What do you do?”
“I’m in an MC,” I shrug the shoulder with the Northern Grizzlies patch on it.
“But for work, I mean?” She looks confused.
“I work for the MC, jobs for different chapters. Nothing exciting.”
“Could I get your number?” She asks, reaching for her phone.
“Jessa, what we’ve been doing is outrageously hot…” I keep my eyes on my plate, my hand tight around my fork. The words I’m about to say seem so wrong.
“Never mind. One night stand,” she mumbles and I nod, still conflicted. “One night stand with pancakes, though!” She smiles again as I watch her lick syrup off of her finger and decide I’ll make time for another round back at the motel. “Shade!” She hisses. Blushing at the look I’m giving her.
“One more go, Rosy?” I smile at her, waving for the check.
“I’m so sore,” she whispers but I can see the heat rising in her eyes.
“I’ll be gentle,” that lie earns me a snort and another of her shy smiles. “Told you, I’d make sure you remembered me. That sweet pussy of yours ain’t forgetting me anytime soon.”
We hurriedly finish our coffee and I toss cash on the table, getting her back across the street before she changes her mind.
Jessa
We’re barely through the door when he pulls my T-shirt up and lowers the cups of my bra. I laugh at his enthusiasm while simultaneously melting at his touch.
“I still can’t believe you can make me feel like this, I mean from just my boobs.” My voice is husky and I feel my whole body come alive from the attention he’s giving me.
“Think these may be the most perfect tits on the planet, Rosy,” he smiles up at me, before standing to his full height again and with his hands on my shoulders, nudges me down. “But I want to feel those pretty lips around my dick.”
I slide down his body and make short work of undoing his belt and jeans, pulling his cock through the slit in his shorts. I try to take him all into my mouth but Shade hardens quickly, making that task nearly impossible. When he threads his hands through my hair and smirks down at me, I grip the base of his dick and move my mouth up and down his length. Loving the silky feel of him even when its girth starts to make my jaw ache.
“That’s it, Jessa, just like that. Get my dick nice and wet for what’s coming next,” his breath comes out in pants and I’m surprised a moment later when he’s pulling me off and pushing me back towards the bed.
“But I want it!” I pout up at him and he caresses my cheek.
“Promised you one last round, Rosy,” Shade says, leaning over for a condom. “Jeans down. Right now.”
I don’t move fast enough for him and am still kicking my jeans off of my second leg when he slams into my swollen core. I can feel his zipper hitting my ass and it makes everything hotter for me. Shade promised me gentle but from the look in his eyes, I can tell he’s only warming up. His hands shift up to grip my shoulders and he thrusts faster and faster, the friction is delicious and I can barely hold on for the ride.
Until we both explode and my world goes off kilter.
“Fuck! Son of a bitch!” Shade’s anger is like a force I can feel shooting out from his body and quickly bringing me back to reality. I’m too shocked by the tone of his voice to do anything but stare up at him and I can barely focus on the piece of a condom he’s holding before I feel his cum start to trickle out of me.
“Go rinse yourself out,” his words are clipped and his face has gone cold. “Now, Jessa!”
I move, limping to the bathroom without saying a word.

Our little bubble has just popped.
Moments later, I know I have to face him and when I open the door I find him fully dressed, with his bag zipped up and my bags at the door.
Looking worried, he immediately speaks up, “You okay? That was on me, I wasn’t mad at you. Are you on the pill?”
“No. I’ll be at my aunt’s by tomorrow, Shade. I’ll pick up a Plan B,” I assure him.
“Yeah? Can I give you money?” He looks relieved at my words and reaches for his wallet but I stop him with a wave of my hand. “I’m clean, Jessa. I’m completely sure of that, alright?” I nod, ignoring the feeling of my panic at not even considering anything other than a pregnancy.
“Okay, then, I’ll just help you get across to the bus stop.” He says, picking up the heavier of my bags along with his duffle.
“I can manage,” I respond, trying to tug my bag out of his hand. “There’s no room on your bike with your bag and you don’t walk.”
“I will. This once. Don’t tell anyone,” he gives me a little half smile and I concede. After he secures his bag on his bike, he throws his arm around my shoulder, both of my bags in his opposite hand, as he walks me across the street. I try to respond to his attempt at small talk but my throat feels like its swelling up and I’m failing miserably.
We figure out that a bus will be pulling up in the next twenty minutes, so I tell him to head out. I feel really awkward around him for the first time and there’s really no use in dragging this out any further.
“Take care of yourself, Rosy,” he caresses my cheek before he turns to go.
“I think your shade is perfect,” I quietly say to his back. His shoulders tense up so he must have heard me, but he just keeps walking and something inside of me cracks a little. I watch him as he gets on his bike and heads east, back the way I came.
Two buses and a lot of tears later, I’m in Idaho waiting on my aunt to come get me. Seeing her is wonderful but three minutes in her presence has me dissolving in tears all over again. She pulls over to the shoulder of the road to comfort me.
“I know it’s been a shitty year for you, but you’re with family now and you’ll love working for the Sheriff. He’s a good man and it’s a cute little town, Jessa,” she soothes me as I get myself back under control. “Also, I’ve been seeing someone.”
“What?!” I start to giggle at the schoolgirl look on her face.
“It’s been a few months, but you know I told you my ex-husband was stalking me again? Well, Roy took care of that. With my hours, it’s a little hard sometimes but we see each other whenever we can and it works for us. He’s a bit older than me but in good shape. And he’s kind to me,” she finishes updating me. Knowing her past, I know that her last sentence is the most important part about this man.
“I’m so happy for you, Aunt Ellie,” and I am. After what she went through with her ex, she deserves every second of happiness. I swear to myself I won’t cry about Shade again, that I’ll settle in and move on.
“There are some cute little shops that have opened since you were last in town, Jessa,” Ellie continues. “I got those two boxes you sent but you don’t have many things with you and I didn’t get you anything for your graduation, so why don’t we go shopping on my next day off? Plus, your birthday was yesterday, wasn’t it?”
Telling her that her generosity isn’t necessary falls on deaf ears so I just decide to roll with it for now.
And she was right.
When I went into the Police Station for my official interview with the Sheriff, I did like him. My job would mirror my aunt’s job but on the night shift with just thirty hours a week for starters. That wasn’t ideal but I understood they had budgeting concerns and I figured I could find a part-time job around town. Might as well work and save while I’m young.
Her boyfriend, Roy, was a surprise. Especially when I saw his cut and I almost shit myself.
I kept a straight face when I saw that it carried the Northern Grizzlies logo. That it was the same name I had seen on Shade’s cut, got my attention real fast. I hadn’t told my aunt about my run in with Shade, so I didn’t mention it upon meeting Roy. I just quietly asked some questions over our dinner that night. It turns out there are a dozen chapters that are all spread out and with Shade heading east that day, I started to relax again.
In no time at all, I fall into an easy routine. Nights at the station, another part-time job at an after school and camp care center, and eventually, I was able to buy a nice-enough-for-now used car. Well, nice isn’t the exact word for it, but it runs.
Chapter 3
Jessa
After moving to Rowansville, my new life slowly fell into place. The night shift at the station would either be crazy or quiet, no in between. Then, I’d get home in the early hours and crawl into bed and tell myself I won’t think about Shade, but I always did.
Every time I rub my clit it was to the memory of him fucking me.
The dirty things he said.
The way he played with my nipples like they were catnip.
And, his thick dick that I felt inside of me for days afterward.
A handful of guys around town made the effort to talk to me and a few of them got around to asking me out. At first, I told myself I was turning them down because I was adjusting to my new life. After a time, I turned them down because I was constantly puking and too big a coward to buy a pregnancy test.
Three months after I got to Rowansville, I get home from my shift in the early dawn hours to find a test waiting for me on the kitchen table. Aunt Ellie’s post-it note simply read “enough already”.
And, of course, seven minutes later I was staring at the word: pregnant.
I stayed frozen, sitting at the table, holding the white stick until Ellie came down an hour later.
Peeking over my shoulder, she asks, “How far along, do you think?”
“Since my birthday,” I respond without missing a beat.
“One of those boys who were driving you west?” She asks as starts making coffee.
“No, they were complete assholes to me. Another guy helped me out that night,” I groan and sink my head down to the table. “He…never mind. I’m on my own with this.”
“No, you’re not, honey. We’ll figure out shifts…I mean, are you going to keep it?” Ellie pauses and I nod, my hand going to my stomach. “Okay, well, we’ll do this together.”
“What about you and Roy?” I raise my voice. “I won’t let my problems interfere with your happiness.”
“If he’s worth a damn, he’ll stick around. If not, he can fuck off. You’re my family, Jessa,” Ellie folds her arms around me and I let myself cry like I did the day she met me at the bus station.
“The condom broke the last time,” I finally get out. “He got so pissed. I took a Plan B after I got here, but…”
“It was meant to be then, Jessa. I don’t want you getting upset, but do you have any way to reach him?” She tries so hard to look nonplussed and I cringe at having to shake my head, no. “Social media?” She helpfully suggests next.
I reconsider telling her about his Northern Grizzlies cut, but I just got up and walked towards my room, saying I need time alone. I heard her chuckle ‘the last time’ to herself as I was halfway up the stairs.
I laid in bed, staring at the ceiling for hours. I’m sure that Roy could track him down for me but I won’t do that. Shade was straight with me. No kissing. No expectations. No numbers. And although I took the Plan B, if Roy tracks him down, would he even believe me? Would Shade do more than shrug and walk out of my life again?
My tears have long since dried and all I’ve decided on is that the baby will be named Daniel/Danielle, Danny was what his grandfather had originally thought his name was. Danny is the one thing this baby can have of its father.
And as with everything, life goes on.
During my pregnancy, I fled to the bathroom every time I felt emotional, which was often. I tried to ignore how Ellie and Roy stopped t
alking when I would enter a room. Every day I try to tell myself that I will be enough for my child. I will be a strong, working mother. I will become someone my child and my aunt will be proud of.
My mantra helps me get by, day to day. The money I once saved so diligently to be able to go back to school now becomes money to care for my little nugget. The biggest gift of all is when Ellie announces she wants to cut her hours and that I’ll be moved to full-time at the station. The insurance alone is a God-send and the Sheriff has it written up so that my pregnancy expenses will mostly be covered.
One day when I waddle into Dr. Forsythe office for one of my final exams before the delivery, I look up and freeze.
My ‘flight’ instincts rears to life when I see two men in Grizzlies cuts sitting in the waiting room and I take a deep breath to calm myself, knowing I’m being unreasonable. They sit on either side of a pregnant woman about my age and I try to ignore them when I check in. The older receptionist loudly asks when my husband will arrive and I’m forced to repeat twice that it’s just me.
Turning, I keep my eyes down and sit across from the other patient.
“She’s a bitch,” the woman freely offers, well within hearing distance of the receptionist. “I’ve got another couple months of this, how about you?”
“End of February for me,” I smile back. “It was rough towards the end of summer but my nugget has been keeping me warm since it got cold.” I rub my belly and wonder which of the hunky bookends is her husband.
“I’m Charlie,” she introduces herself before naming the men. “Are you finding out your baby’s sex?”
“I wasn’t sure if I wanted to but then picking out clothes is becoming a hassle, so I will today. Oh, I’m Jessa Hall. How about you? Sorry, finding out the sex,” I laugh. “I can usually form sentences. Can we blame baby-brain today?”
“See!” Charlie squeals, turning to each of the men beside her. “I told you baby-brain is a thing!” She gives me a wink and a big smile before continuing. “We’ll find out today, also.”
Just then her name is called and I raise my eyebrow that her last name is the same as our doctor.
